Why are you running for this office?
The number one reason I want to volunteer on the Board of Education is because I am on a mission to be the best role model I can for my two children. Actions speak louder than words. I want to show my children the value of volunteering, integrity, listening more than I speak, working hard to make a real difference, and representing everyone.
What is the most pressing local issue facing your community and how would you solve it (within the capacity of the office for which you are running)?
Since 2012, spending on education in Manchester has increased $12 million dollars, yet test scores have actually gone down. That is completely unacceptable. I will focus on data-driven cost-effective policies and work together with both my colleagues and the entire community to achieve demonstrable results. One thing I believe is an extremely important value in general but also crucial to leadership is this: Listening more than I speak. Please let me know your thoughts and ideas! With the state's ongoing budget crisis looming over the election, what are your plans for your community's budget? Is there anything you can do make your town less dependent on revenue from the state?
The legislature has been debating various ideas to allow towns to raise revenue locally through something other than property taxes. If you could ease your residents' property tax burden by adding another method of taxation, is there anything you might consider for your town?
Are you in favor of regionalizing more services in conjunction with other nearby communities? If so, which ones?
Should your school district get the same amount of education funding from the state if your district's enrollment is dropping?
What's one thing most people don't know about you?
